Tasman Bay wines are known for their balance and complexity and this Merlot certainly fits the bill. Made from Hawkes Bay grapes.

Vintage Conditions:
A near perfect vintage with a warm early Spring and a long growing season.
Harvest Date:
April 2005
Vinification:
The grapes were crushed into open fermenters and punched down three times daily. Pressed lightly the wine was aged in a combination of new and older French oak. Aged for fifteen months and blended with a small amount of Malbec to add colour and length.
