Tasman Bay Chardonnay

Tasman Bay Chardonnay is known for it's balance and complexity. Á big, rich wine that drinks well by itself and accompanies many types of food.
- Vintage Conditions:
- Apart from a cool, wet March, warm, dry conditions prevailed during the summer. Regardless of the slightly wet weather during harvest very typical flavours of citrus and apple were common. Clone 15 and Mendoza. A blend of Marlborough and Nelson grapes.
- Harvest Date:
- April 2005.
- Vinification:
- The grapes were crushed into the press without skin contact. The juice was fermented and aged for seven months on new French and American oak and underwent malolactic ferment. All of the wine was allowed to sit on lees to help add depth and complexity.

- 13.0%

- 6.9 grams/litre
- Residual Sugar:
- 3.4 grams/litre
- Colour:
- Brilliant lemon yellow.
- Bouquet:
- Tropical fruit with hints of mealiness, fine oak, vanilla and butteriness.
- Palate:
- A rich, big wine that has ripe fruit flavours of citrus, pineapple and green apples. A touch of creaminess and vanilla.
