Tasman Bay Merlot

Tasman Bay wines are known for their balance and complexity and this Merlot certainly fits the bill. Made from Hawkes Bay grapes.
- Vintage Conditions:
- A near perfect vintage with a warm early Spring and a long growing season.
- Harvest Date:
- April 2005
- Vinification:
- The grapes were crushed into open fermenters and punched down three times daily. Pressed lightly the wine was aged in a combination of new and older French oak. Aged for fifteen months and blended with a small amount of Malbec to add colour and length.

- Dark scarlet purple.

- Rich berry fruits with hints of toasty oak.
